Music has changed monumentally since they first broke through with their debut album, but German duo Digitalism futuristically introduced a whole new fan base to the pumping, hi-octane sounds of dance music. Mixing live instrumentation with feedback and distortion driven electro, they created a stand out, punk-rock sound that was filtered and driven through harsh and noisy synths and pads.
They’ve been away since 2007, honing and creating their sound into a new full length work that will surely re-wire the sound of indie-electro crossover in 2011. They dropped new album ‘I love You, Dude’ this week on Cooperative Music and are gearing up for a busy summer ahead of them - with this in mind, DT thought it would be the perfect time to re-introduce you to this innovative and driving duo, as they step up to be the next subject of our DT Podcast.
