Pezzner may not be as instantly recognizable as a heavyweight name in the realms of house and techno, but the underground sound designer and techo / house producer likes it that way. Making waves with his breakthrough track 'The Tracks Are Alive' on Freerange music and in recent times, Pezzner's mix of ethereal and boundary pushing sounds has received much love and support, releasing on staple labels such as Mothership and Ghostly International, as well as more recently on sturdy labels Om and Urbantorque. When he's not fiddling with the dials on his own exquisite productions, he's usually found as part of duo Jacob London, as well as composing music for American Idol, The Discovery Channel, Nordstrom, and T-Mobile.
There's a new album on the way on Freerange - his second solo effort to date aside from his usual production partner - so Data Transmission asked this bright hopeful to offer us a more comprehensive look at what keeps this underground man ticking. The results are below
