We’ve been bigging up Italian producer Phonat for several years now and eagerly awaiting for him to break through to the big time. His calling card is bright, summery, uplifting electro house with big synths and the cut-up vocal style of Akufen, with dashes of hip-hop and even occasional forays into drum & bass thrown into the mix. Annie Mac, Herve and Fatboy Slim are all fans, and we think he’s one of the most talented producers out there.
He’s put together a seriously fresh summer mix for us – skipping from b-boy hip-hop to phat house muzik and rowdy electro flavours, before rounding off with a mellow classic.
