Hijack wears his heart on his sleeve, musically speaking. And so he should. From the French filter disco of the Daft Punk years to the early days of fidget pioneered by Switch/Solid Groove and Trevor Loveys, he’s soaked up the punchiest, juiciest, funkiest strains of house music and filtered them through his energy-packed, edit-heavy production style. His colourful singles have been complimented by lots of tasty free bootlegs and remixes for everyone from Moby to Andy George to Foamo to Ursula 1000.
Quite how he’s managed to fit 38 tracks into 80 minutes we’re not sure, but what we are certain of is that he’s one of the freshest DJs and producers in house music right now. 2011 will be the year he conquers all we think. Time to jack your body people…
