Every now and then one of those acts come along in the house and techno scene that manage to appeal to both resolutely underground types and mainstream clubhoppers alike. It’s testament to the act in question being excellent producers, with a knack for creating tunes which almost force people to dance. They know the formulas, they know how to push all the requisite buttons, and they’ve got serious studio skills.
Kaiserdisco have come from seemingly nowhere to become one of 2010’s hottest properties, thanks to massive, slick big-room groovers like Chordalia and Aguja and lovely rolling remixes of Booka Shade and Robyn amongst others, plus an EP for Adam Beyer's highly respected Drumcode. Their tracks have been licensed to dozens of compilations this year (including ones by Pete Tong, Wally Lopez and Azuli), and their excellent debut album Standing In No-One’s Shadow shows that they’re no one-trick-pony. Sexy Scheisse.
