The F Spot Live Sessions

The show is made in the Folkstock Records studio - a cosy summer house in the village of Walkern in the county of Hertfordshire, England. In an informal and relaxing environment, emerging local artists, already making waves on the national folk/acoustic scene, chat about their musical journeys so far and perform live. Each week, the host Daria Kulesh showcases a new artist.

This week's fascinating guest is singer-songwriter Johnny Coppin (, a founding member of the folk-rock band Decameron who has since enjoyed a successful and versatile solo career. With an impressive biography which includes many releases and collaborations, he plays songs that are exquisite and refined yet natural, lyrical and warm. His latest album, Borderland, is a thing of beauty.

I have just finished listening to this show with Johnny Coppin again having heard it first last Friday evening. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole hour and Johnny is such a very relaxed person to listen to with a lovely soothing voice. I especially like the songs on his new album 'Borderland ' and so I have it on order. favourite song has to be ' Dream of England' written by John and Caroline Anderson and Johnny does a great version of it. I was pleased too that Daria managed to fit in an extract of the song by The Portraits which is a charity single to help Emma Whittaker who desperately needs a donor to save her life. I have already donated to this necessary appeal. Going back lastly to Johnny, everything he spoke about was of great interest and Daria was excellent too and was really enraptured by Johnny and all his interesting comments and live renditions.
