Hey everyone. I'm sorry to say that this episode was a bit of a low point in my GMing career. I fell into the "me vs. them" mentality for a bit and everything just kind of turned into a giant slog of difficult combat after difficult combat. I've edited this episode down from the 8 hours it used to be, because all the stuff I cut out was just round after tedious round of boring combat where no one can gain any ground. I'm lucky my players just called me out on it instead of abandoning me. So here, take this as another lesson in what NOT to do. Just because a creature has a cool ability, don't torture your players endlessly with it. Also, remember that a lot of these creatures probably aren't as smart as you might be making them, and they definitely don't have all the knowledge you do. Listening to this episode for the first time in 2 years, I realize just how much I metagamed this session, and I'm almost too embarrassed to post this.
