21st March 2015This week I chat to an award winning poet & playwright from the North East of England, Tom Kelly. After working as a drama lecturer for 25 years before working full time on writing projects. Tom has had several poetry collections published & in terms of theatre, has had over fifteen pieces put on at The Customs House. We also discuss a project that focuses on the shipyards on the river Tyne called 'Men of The Tyne'. You can see the documentary film on this page to your [email protected]
'Men of the Tyne' was a four month project commissioned by The Customs House involving Tom Kelly, a local poet and playwright, Andrew Hagan, a local filmmaker and the team from The Customs House. The project documented men's memories of life working on or near the River Tyne and the changes they've seen over the years.
