CARLOS A. ALMEIDA is Assistant Professor of Portuguese and the Director of LusoCentro at Bristol Community College. He is a co-translator of Chiquinho along with Professor Isabel Fêo Rodrigues of Sociology/Anthropology (UMASSD) and Professor Anna M. Klobucka.

Chiquinho: A Novel of Cabo Verde is volume 13 of the Adamastor Series, edited by Victor K. Mendes (UMass Dartmouth) and Ricardo Vasconcelos (San Diego State University).
