Sonarity of Whales

Deep ocean sonar waves are in use by the US Navy to detect submarines. The sonic waves generated by this process are very powerful and as whales and other ocean species use sonar to communicate, it is widely believed that the Navy's operations cause deep discomfort to whales and other ocean species. Many also believe that the sonar in use by the Navy causes whales to beach themselves as they are disorientated and many of them subsequently die.

We have hunted and persecuted whales for far too long, we need to stop doing this.
