Hello again. I do hope you're keeping well and holding things together wherever you are in this big and often unpredictable world...
We're midway through March and on the cusp of Spring. The world of Colorama has seen more travel and some upheaval, and the venting of much that is new, musically speaking. So if this mixtape is erratic, we offer no apologies - that's where we are just now!
This month we have some total classics courtesy of the Velvets, Jackie Trent, B.B. King and the nascent Swamp Dogg (Jerry Williams), not to mention a much covered soul-pop classic from the Jaynetts, some jazz groove from legendary guitarist Kenny Burrell, a couple of French beat stonkers from the 60s, an obscure but mammoth mega funky cut (Pi-R-Squared anyone?), Beck, Elliott Smith, a cut from one of the all-time underrated rock groups (Spirit) and a nod to our friends in Japan from the great Happy End. New tunes are featured from Papercuts, Low and AM & Shawn Lee. Enjoy!

Hwyl am y tro,

Rob Schofield

Marvellous. I hadn't heard Thrill is Gone for years. What a brilliant way to end a mix tape.
