Dave spoke about how disappointment is the opposite of hope.
Dave referred to Proverbs 13:12, Haggai 1:3-6 and 2:15-19, 1 Chronicles 22:7 and 1 Chronicles 29:14.
1. Proverbs 13:12 is a well known verse and begins " hope deferred makes the heart sick" . Those who returned from exile in Babylon to build the temple in Jerusalem went with hope and dreams but it got knocked out of them and they pulled back, they lost their hope and became disappointed.
How difficult is it to recognise disappointment and what affect does it have on us?
2. The prophet Haggai came on the scene and asked the people to 'consider their ways'. They'd pulled back from building a house for God and there was a lack of blessing in their lives. They'd retreated into what they could do in their own strength but it wasn't bearing fruit and yet when Haggai called them to start rebuilding they were very responsive.

3. The second part of the verse in Proverbs is "but a dr
