Dave continued our series on the basics of Christianity looking at meditative prayer. The key bible verses he used were: Psalm 1:2-3; Jeremiah 17:8; Joshua 1:8.

Meditating on God's word is to take regular time out and mediate upon a portion or truth of Scripture asking the Holy Spirit to bring insight and understanding to our soul. In this we are strengthened and enlightened as we 'chew' upon an aspect of God's word.
George Muller's story of meditating in this way was not only that he learnt more in one session than he had during a period of several months but also "the particular difference was that I received real strength for my soul".
Joshua was promised success and prosperity if he kept Gods word close to his heart and mouth! He was urged to meditate on it daily and let it shape his life and as he did he would be granted success. Given he was leading God's army int
