Genesis: From Quartet to Trio (1976-1986)

This is the second part of my long promised Genesis mix. None of you will have any idea how fucking hard it was to do this. For two years while I endured slings and arrows, fought with Tigers, dealt with past lovers, tangled with depression and gained weight, all I could think about was completing this mix. In listening to it I feel like I didn't give enough space to Steve Hackett's tenure with the band. I am truly sorry about that since it really is one of my favorite era's of the band. Seriously, Wind And Wuthering is my Houses of Holy. I'm also not a big fan of 1983's Genesis and only picked two songs from that one. I tried to not use too many long songs (oops! I said I tried.) and B-sides were used in lieu of album tracks if A) if they contained something of interest to fans of the group (see 'It's Yourself'), or B) I just thought it was a great B-side. I chose to cut off at 1986 because Invisible Touch was (IMHO) the last great thing they recorded.
