The Bible is a miracle we can hold in our hands. Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible and it is a poetic hymn to God's Word. There are twenty-two sections with each verse beginning with the same letter that heads up each section. Psalm 119 was designed to facilitate memory and meditation on God's Word.
We will begin with verse 25. The very first line makes a statement that we can all relate to: "I am laid low in the dust." While many may feel this way now and again, very few know the way out of this dust-up. It is no accident that the line, "I am laid low in the dust," is followed with this plea: "Preserve my life according to your Word." God will jump into our hearts and accomplish just what is written. God himself will move us from dust to glory.
