Hard to believe this was 20 years ago already. Four deck DJ set performed by Substance resident DJs (myself and Roc One), recorded live at the Custard Factory in Birmingham as part of BBC Radio 1’s ‘1 Live In Birmingham’ event. Acts performing at the event included Basement Jaxx, DJ Craze & DJ Marky. We were the only local acts to receive a live broadcast from the event. This nerve wracking set was performed to approx 800 people at the venue and about 250,000 listeners on air.
