Melodica 4 April 2011

Melodica 4 April 2011

Playing tracks by

Locussolus, Marvin Gaye, Nicolas Jaar, Burial, Peverlist and more.

Chris Coco's weekly radio broadcast. An eclectic selection of brilliant new music starting with house and moving on to electronica, downtempo, acoustic and all sorts of other styles loosely connected to dance and electronic music. Let tastemaker Chris Coco guide you through his selection of the week's best new music.
In this episode: the sound of post-dubstep dubstep with Burial, Peverlist and Sepalcure; some proper Balearic sunset gear from Finland and the new album from Art Department. It's all here and it all makes sense.

Chill tracks. I'll surely be using some. Thanks Chris and please check out my 'Awaken Ibiza comp' Mix.

as for your question re Locussolus - the original 12" didn't do it for me, but I love the PT remix with the brass and that Chaz Jankel vibe. also love the remix of 'I Want You' - still cherish an old Gamm 12" that had a superb acoustic mix of the same tune.

Great mix. Are these charts going to be updated every time a new one is out?

Feeling the Burial and Sepalcure tracks also the Saint Etienne remix. Quality show.

Liking very much the St Etienne Starkillers Remix. Good to see Burial back although I prefer his beats more shuffly but I guess he has been copied so much now that he has to move on.

Cheers Chris

Locossolus reminds me to Bananarama's Venus... very good! I choose Neon Heights to close my eyes lying in the flour. Nice show. Tks
