About the show

Playing tracks by

Manu Dibango, Darkstar, Tropics, DJ Shadow, Batida feat Bras Firmino and more.

Chris Coco's weekly radio broadcast. An eclectic selection of brilliant new music starting with house and moving on to electronica, downtempo, acoustic and all sorts of other styles loosly connected to dance and electronic music. Let tastemaker Chris Coco guide you through his selection of the week's best new music.
London : New York : Lagos. This episode is all about an urban electronic dance feel from Africa to the USA all filtered through the crazy mixed up melting pot of my home city, London. Or, to put it another way, I’ve been listening to the new Radioclit compilation, reading about legendary New York club The Loft. Or to put it another way: new music from Caribou. DJ Shadow, Aloe Blacc and the fabulous Planet Mu label and classics from Talking Heads and Manu Dibango. it’s all here.

Shazz's new title is for me already a classic and the original mix is my favorite. But nobody can resist to a Tom Moulton remix...

..yeah bluepeter - bombay sapphire was a very clever track.. i think nothing's come too close to Gold Panda in terms of genius lately, dubstep or otherwise

Hello Chris. I am not a dubstep 'specialist' but i think that Truth & Dutty Ranks and Skream are much better than Darkstar.

Let me know what you think about the music on this week's show. Is the Darkstar album any good? Is Shazz's new single a classic or just cheese? Do Manu Dibango and Talking Heads still sound fresh?
