Melodica 17 June 2013

This episode we have, a sort of soundtrack sandwich, if the middle bit is soundtracky, like the cheese, though it's far from cheesy, it includes some stuff from the new Boards Of Canada album and everything, and the 'bread' is some rather good atmospheric house music. Anyway, it's usually a mistake to start extending metaphors till they crumble away to nothing, like, um, a dried up cheese sandwich.

Beautiful Afternoon Mix

Chris - you make delicious sandwiches! They fill me up and make me come back for more every time.

Melodica is the warm blanket that arrives in the email every week, we wrap it around our ears and begin that trip into the land of lovely beats and sweet design. Sixty minutes later we emerge new people, ready for whatever Life may have to offer. Great music inspires - and this show proves it. Check it out #Fr33domFamily - this is mastery in selecting.

Good evening, heard this production and confess that he spent a pleasant time. It will sound really something else to own style . THANKS! ( * google translate from greek language )

Deep Transmissions

"god this is brilliant, an instant classic" - Chris Coco on Airglow fires, have to agree there, can't stop playing this track! Reminds me of how the first ever daft punk, basement jaxx and Alan Braxe tunes made me feel, commercial appeal but with a real deep edge.

DJ Nova

U rlast week’s ‘’Airglow Fires’’. Magic, no words for it… ‘’Rosario’’ sounds so Nova compatible… ‘’Found You’’ reminds me a lot 808 State… ‘’Paris Texas’’ immortal classic… ‘’Small Hours’’ so liquid… Very good selections by the Scadinavians… Long Arm Remix is probably my Melodica track of the week, well in the Melodica field of music of the week, planned 2 play it today in my show too… Did get Stéphane Vera album? Jazzy ‘’Mana’’ mmm so beautiful… Ina Pooley too… Boards of Canada... Everybody is talking about them... No point to 2 say something...

Paolo Belli / Astroman

loved the way you described the new BoC album...apocaplytic aftermath of a deadly virus...
