When God created Adam and Eve, when He saved Noah and his family from the great flood, when He brought the Israelites into the Promised Land, when the resurrected Christ commissioned his disciples before ascending to heaven, all these examples had something in common. They were to take what God had given them and expand themselves to their borders, to grow as a family and fill it up completely.
In 2018, I want us to see that as a principle of purpose for every child of God. You may ask, “What does Israel and the Promised Land have to do with me?” The Promised Land was the place where God’s purpose, plan and blessing was lived out. You and I have such a place. God has given us a place to live out His purpose, plan and blessing. It’s very much like an allotment, a territory. Not visible with literal borders. But we have a Promised Land given to us by God called LIFE.
