About the show
Japanese knotweed is a large, herbaceous perennial plant of the knotweed and buckwheat family. As the name would indicate, it is native to East Asia. In Ireland, it is an invasive species and a dangerous one at that. Peter Gill, Park Superintendent with Mayo County Council, came in to talk with Catherine Lavery about knotweed and the campaign the council is currently running to raise awareness on the issue.
