While currently a Hollywood sensation, Wonder Woman has always been my personal favorite superhero, and it’s not just a “woman” thing. Rather, it’s that lasso of truth she wields and her recognition in the power of the truth to help free us from what’s wrong in the world, opening us to the possibilities of goodness. She also is quite clear that "truth" is not always black and white nor easy.

Furthermore, as Diana puts it in the new movie, "What one does when faced with the truth is more difficult than you’d think."

Still given these truths about "truth," Jesus explains in John 8:31, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
