Here’s how Wayne State and Henry Ford Health System have worked with other stakeholders in Michigan’s Motor City to reduce the number of major incidents by 38% and attract young urban professionals to the area.DETROIT- It’s no secret that Michigan’s largest city has experienced more than its fair share of crime, which has discouraged the public from working and living in its midtown. To address this chronic problem, the Wayne State University Police Department and the Center for Urban Studies developed a targeted crime fighting initiative called Midtown CompStat.
