For the first snowy night of the last winter of the 00s, Technocean explores the icy soundscapes of turn-of-the-millenium minimalism, from the the ambient sparseness of Pub, to the wind-swept, click-shifting Dettinger, and even Cliff Martinez‘s frosty, spacey original score for Solaris. Several rarities are included in this edition: a densely layered cut from the out-of-print Parmentier - Luxsound, Vladimir Ussachevsky‘s 1960 opus, ‘Wireless Fantasy’ (commissioned by the de Forest Pioneers to celebrate the birth of wireless radio, whose waves incidentally travel farther in frosty night air), and a previously unreleased track by host Myroslaw Bytz himself, under the techno pseudonym Vzæm. Lose yourself in these unique digital snowflakes and static swirls.
