Cannabis is a growing industry in America. The use, possession, sale, cultivation and transportation of cannabis is illegal under federal law. But individual states can pass a law to decriminalize cannabis for recreational or medical use as long as they've set up an approved regulatory system. As a result, 25 states - half the nation - have approved cannabis-based products for medicinal use - and four, so far, have legalized it for recreational use.
