Now that school is back in session and student athletes are back on campus, we felt it would be a great time to include Danny White, the Director of Athletics and 2005 graduate of Ohio University's Sports Administration program.
Danny talks about what it was like growing up in college athletics and how he decided on going into administration over coaching. He also discusses how tackling different challenges at different universities throughout his career has prepared him to be an AD at such a young age. After starting at UCF in mid November 2015, one of his first challenges was hiring a new football coach after the end of a 10 year run by coach George O’Leary that saw four conference titles, which was culminated by an 0-12 finish in 2015.
Danny’s explains how his time at Ohio set him on the path for success and helped him realize what his goals were and what he had to do to achieve them.
