the sound of budapest from the years of 1966-91: funky, psychedelic and soulful rock, breaks, jazz, etno-folk music and some poetry recorded from vinyl records.
this mix is inspired by a book called BUDAPEST METRO: from below the surface beyond capital (by tamas matekovits; published in finland by like kustannus, pystykorva december 2012). the metro book mixes travel literature, historical and social commentary, radical philosophy and photographic experimentation as it tries to find its way out of the vicious circle of capital which hovers over our time. See the website http://www.rauhanpuolustajat.org/budapestmetro for photography, links and other information.
