This is a mix that I made as a tool to show people how a wedding DJ can move music genres around during the dancing section. Weddings are very different when it comes to the way you treat the music. Unlike a venue or even something like a 21st birthday, demographics at a wedding are very varied, as well as having massive age ranges. The trick to playing a wedding is to try to play to all groups in the room while keeping the general dance floor vibe going.
This mix is a quick chop together of a few different styles and genres. I have shortened the songs to get the mix to around 10 minutes for demonstration purposes. This is NOT how the songs would sound on the night. And obviously, music and styles would be changed to suit the styles of the couple and their guests.
Also, it's worth noting that I made this in about 20 minutes in Ableton, and I didn't spend much time making everything sound perfect, so there are some clunky bits in the mix. Once again, this is just a basic example.
