This week our show begins with a two sets of ska that discuss the Cuban Missile Crisis and the death of J.F.K. Great tracks from Jamaica from 1962-1965 that both entertain and inform about that scary and uncertain era. After a mento set and a long set of early reggae (71-75) we descended on our spotlight this week on Tommy Cowan's TOP CAT LABEL (1970-72). Lily gives you the history of the label as well and we play some killer cuts from Tommy's legendary band, The Jamaicans, as well as tunes from Ricky Storm (I-Kong), Keith Poppin, and The Conscious Minds. We end this week's show with a healthy portion of rocksteady rarities and classic. We hope that you will be pleased! PLEASE ADD IT TO YOUR PLAYLIST ON MIXCLOUD or SHARE IT ON FACEBOOK. XO, Generoso and Lily
