Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners,
It is with great sadness to relay that the legendary pianist Gladstone "Gladdy" Anderson has passed. Tonight, (12/8), we pay our respects to Gladdy by dedicating two hours to his recordings for a variety of producers as a member of many instrumental bands. Given Gladdy's prolific career, this spotlight is arranged in chronological order, tracing Gladdy's work from ska to rocksteady to reggae. In this show, you'll hear Gladdy with the Duke Reid's All Stars, Buster's All Stars, The Supersonics, The Skatalites, Mudie's All Stars, and Joe Gibbs and The Professionals along with many more. We also include Gladdy's cuts as a vocalist with Stranger Cole. XO Generoso and Lily
