This is a 2-part megamix I put together called "Mixophilia", originally put together as a pre-cursor for a scheduled single that was planned for release on a UK record label. My idea was that each part of the mix was to represent each side of the 45 rpm single. Part 2 represents the song "Honolulu", which was to be the B-side. The song has never been properly released, but I'll post it on Bandcamp eventually. At the time, I had every intention of moving back home to Hawai'i but those plans never came to be. Part 2 is meant to represent the city I call home, so the use of various Hawaiian-related records drives it home, figuratively and literally.
The megamix was meant to be promotional, in the hopes it would lure people to buy the single. The megamix was also going to be released as a CD and I had intentions of having a proper cover shot for it, describing the literal term with a lady listening to me, and the mix being a bit masturbatory on my part. Still a good mix, IMHO
