This special BookD interview was recorded on March 10th 2015 the day before the long awaited Insurgent premiere in London celebrating Veronica Roth's fabulous Divergent trilogy and more specifically her second book in the series.
Veronica Roth was a student at North Western University and studying psychology when she had an idea for a book. Writing since she was eleven years old this was something Veronica was very comfortable with and before she knew it she was furiously writing down her ideas for factions, Dystopian worlds, a feisty heroine and the idea of survival – fast forward a couple of years and The Divergent series was born.
Roth penned the trilogy's first novel, "Divergent," while on winter break during her senior year. She was 22 when Divergent was published and since then Divergent Insurgent and Allegient have sold over 7 M copies worldwide making Roth one of the world’s most powerful celebrities in the world, which hit the Forbes Rich list this year.
