I was the guest on a radio show recently and they questioned me about the use of the word “bolder”, especially for women. Many women have negative connotations to the word, equating it with ‘aggressive’ and all that THAT word brings up. The messaging many of received in our formative years was ‘Don’t be so bold. People will talk.” The inference (or directly spoken ) was the people won’t like you if you’re too bold.
If you’re trying to get your message heard in this noisy, crowded market place, then you MUST challenge those messages. Why? Because quite frankly, you WANT people to talk about you, your business, your products and services. Don’t you?
However, Let’s make them talk for the right reasons. Lets’ look at the positive side of “BOLD”.
