Episode V - Hialeah Park

Episode V - Hialeah Park

In this episode, we look north to beautiful Hialeah, Florida and its iconic horse-racing venue. The Hialeah Park Racetrack, with its signature Cuban flamingos, first opened its doors in 1925 and was one of the earliest tourist attractions in the Miami area. Celebrities from all over the nation came to bet on the fastest horses of their day, many of which launched their careers there, including Seabiscuit, War Admiral, Citation, and Seattle Slew.
