Hey guys! This is episode number 11 of the Be Real Podcast! Today’s guest is Christine Longoria, an incredibly talented ceramic sculptor and all around creative. She is also the founder of Dear Survivor – a collection of handmade jewelry and leather goods of which she donates 10% of every dollar to an organization dedicated to helping human trafficking survivors.
Hearing Christine’s story was extremely fascinating, she describes why she doubted herself so much when starting Dear Survivor because she didn’t think she had the proper skills to actually do it. We also get into some deeper, meaty stuff like the meaning behind her sculptures, which are mostly of hands or hearts and what is was like moving to San Francisco and struggling with her religious identity.
I loved interviewing Christine, she’s so genuine and you can really tell how much she loves her craft. Enjoy!
