Seeing as we’ve all just survived the most controversial presidential election cycle in American history, it seems only natural to discuss the films of noted horror master and anti-authoritarian, John Carpenter! Sure, Jim broke his own rule that Carpenter was off the table, so he gets Reed Lackey of The Fear of God podcast helps aide in the infidelity. The boys discuss the interplay between Reed’s faith and love of horror, why critical consensus has come around on Carpenter in the last decade, and how the filmmaking style of a man known for bleak endings can be described as “child-like.”
