Barockism [bə-rōk-ĭz'əm]: n
1. A nonobjective school of sound-design and creative DJing developed in Paris in the early 21th century, characterized by the elaboration of lush musical forms, often presenting wild and weird associations between lyrical heritage, pop gems, mystical grooves, spoken word and electronic beats.
2. Alias self-attributed to sound-designer / DJ Fabrice Bonniot when he performs with or without Les Truies Galantes in various festivals, street-parades, bars/clubs, museums and institutions. A founding member of Les Truies Galantes, a DJ band developing the electro-baroque style from 2005. Other members are Christophe Vix (former chief editor of FG DJ RADIO, ex-President of TECHNOPOL and founding member of ROSA BONHEUR musical cafés) and Henri Maurel (Founding president of FG DJ RADIO, deceased in february 2011).
Fabrice Bonniot is a board member at TECHNOPOL, teacher and creativity coach, based in Paris.
