Barbican x Moog: 'Remedy' by Estella

Barbican x Moog: 'Remedy' by Estella

Listen to the winning track of our Barbican x Moog competition, which invited people to create a track inspired by their favourite artists, using their Minimoog Model D Synth app.

Estella: 'This track is inspired by Basement Jaxx, who are so prolific in their ability to create timeless pop and club hits using synthesisers. I wrote ‘Remedy’ with their ‘Rooty’ era in mind after blasting that album in my kitchen and dancing through lunch prep. I wanted to create something that felt equally good to dance to in lockdown. So my song’s partly about just dancing to feel good, and focusing only on that as therapeutic relief from the current situation.
It’s also about the positives of being single, of just focusing on what nourishes your spirit, and allowing yourself full freedom of expression without second guessing your actions. You might have your own way of achieving that, it doesn’t have to be through dancing in your kitchen - but I’d recommend giving it a go'

soooo awesome! I have been bummed that Moogfest is doubly cancelled this year but now I have this banger to enjoy!
