In this lecture, hosted by The Women’s Strike Assembly https://womenstrike.org.uk/ and SOAS on 30th October, Verónica Gago discusses eight theses that demonstrate the novelty of the feminist strike, speaking from the Argentine context, where 800,000 women took to the streets for International Women’s Day.
Verónica Gago is a member of #NiUnaMenos, co-founder of Colectivo Situaciones, and a professor of Sociology at the National University of San Martín. She is the author of Neoliberalism from Below: Popular Pragmatics and Baroque Economies. Her latest book "La potencia feminista" will be published by Verso the next year.
Thanking the lovely listener who recorded this stimulating talk and sent it to AvA, and our co-ho advisor for the kicking theme tunes.
