Welcome to part two of the heavily trademarked ‘East Durham Pit Village/New Town versus special thingy’, presented by Ian Blevins – flying the flag for Horden, hew.
Blevins, who has the longest hair of any Horden export on record, is often referred to as ‘Jesus’ (because of his hair). Don’t let that put you off though. Ian almost always completes the look with a vest, which Christ wouldn’t be seen dead in...
Ian Blevins has it all figured out in our opinion. Summer consists of Ibiza. Last year saw him continue his residency on the Space terrace for ‘We Love’, as well as playing regular spots at Azuli’s secret beach parties among a host of other island hotspots. This winter has seen Blevins sunning himself in Asia and Australia, playing his eclectic mix of house, disco, broken beat and techno to our ex-convict friends before returning to glorious East Durham for time in the studio and a recharge (his debut release hit the digital shelves last year on Newcastle based CityWest Records).
