This week, after a weeks hiatus – we’re very excited to present part one of our very niftily titled ‘East Durham Pit Village/New Town versus special thingy’ with Antony Daly.
The name Antony Daly (also known as Tony, Tern, 586, Mr. Peterlee and ‘Hew’) will either mean absolutely nothing to you, or it’ll bring an instant smile to your lips. If in your case it’s the former, and you know nothing of Tony – well, we’re about to remedy that.
Co-promoter and resident at legendary but sadly defunct club-night ‘Reverb’ in Newcastle, Tony helped to bring the likes of Carl Craig, Dj Bone, Grooverider, Funk D'Void, Andrew Weatherall and Vince Watson to the city in the early 2000's.
The mix itself is made up of Tony’s trademark sub-120 bpm chuggers; with cuts from the likes of Mark E, House Of House and Tensnake. It’s a real journey of a mix, a hugely enjoyable listen and an absolute honour to put our name against.
Kick off your shoes, sit back and let the good-times roll, hew.
