Zola is a 2 time Olympic runner, she broke the world record in the 5000 meters twice and won 2 world Championships. She was once titled the fastest woman in the world.
She was just 17 when she was discovered sprinting in the mountains near her South African home. She would run barefoot to school and, according to her late father, she outran the ostriches they kept as pets.
Zola is now in her 40’s and has discover shoes. She continues to run in races across the Southeast of United States and provides a running clinics and coaching in her home town of Myrtle Beach, SC.
