AR53 #044 - Muromachi Garden

Chart positions

This upload was 78th in the #experimental chart.

#044 - The Muromachi Period in Japan was characterized by an extraordinary flourishing of Japanese culture. It saw the beginning of Noh theater, the Japanese tea ceremony, the shoin style of Japanese architecture, and the zen garden. AR53 brings you a sonic variant of the zen garden, with grains of sound giving way to form & foundation.

Thanks for the animation link! Oh, the poetry of neural pathways apparently... All connected into what makes a conscious thing? I wasn't really listening therefore I truly heard ;)

heh, this is interesting. I'm working on my psychology degree, we've covered linguistic centres of the brain VS visual etc. There's some fascinating case studies out there ... I will for sure investigate poetry (which is simultaneously linguistic and visual) from a neural perspective. Thanks for the brain food ; )

OutsideGirl

Yes what was that spider poetry?

Hello again OutsideGirl, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. That track was a collaboration between Jim Henson (yep, of The Jim Henson's Creature Shop) and Raymond Scott ... and that is Jim Henson's voice. It was made alongside an animation that Jim also created, which you can see here:

OutsideGirl

Hi OutsideGirl, the opening track was from Aleksi Perala - Colundi Sequence Level 12 .. track title "UK74R1514230" .... he's not really one for fluffy track titles : )

as far as spider poetry, are you referring to the guy who is rooting around his own brain ? if you're referring to something else, let me know at what point it begins... cheers
