Theo Hobson is a British theologian. He was educated at Saint Paul’s School in London. He read English Literature at the University of York, then theology at Cambridge University, where he was a member of Hughes Hall. Dr. Hobson researched the strongest voices of the Protestant tradition: Martin Luther, Kierkegaard, and Karl Barth. His PhD thesis became the basis for his first book, The Rhetorical Word, a book that studies the role of authoritative rhetoric in Protestantism. His most recent work is Reinventing Liberal Christianity, a book published by Eerdmans in 2013.
