The first ever satellite broadcast, Our World, with the Beatles and Mick Francis touring Liverpool.by Anna Frawley's Beatle Show
Sideview and Funk You Very Much.
Thank you for giving us a bit of History of what happened in your country when Our World was broadcasted. Brazil also didn't participate. I don't know why. We had a dictatorship at that time but I don't think that was the reason. But I listened to the Beatles participation on BBC Brazilian Service. Recently I had a chance to see the whole show on youtube. They were the highlight. And it shows how much they are far ahead of any other band. I do love lots of bands from the sixities. But they were bands. The Beatles were much more than that. They were a phenomena. Pure Magic. They were the ones invisted for that big event because...they were The Beatles! They still are The Beatles, cause we are here listening to them full of joy and emotion.
Thank you, Virginia
Gosh, I really envy those who are able to visit Liverpool. And thank you for this song by Ringo: The other side of Liverpool. First time I listened to it . Such a good song. I think We can work it out was not b side. It was promoted just like Day Tripper. So it was one of those cases of two A sides. The Beatles used to do that all the time.
life can only get betterand we are all still here listening !

Thank you, Alan! xx
The Liverpool tour sounds great! Anna, you should take it the next time you visit. Thanks to Mick for all his insight as usual. I am REALLY enjoying his book. The explanation narration for Our World was great. I'd never heard that before. And thanks for playing "Baby You're A Rich Man" one of the Beatles most under rated songs in my opinion.
Thank you so much, Roger!
Loved Ringo's Liverpool song too.
Thank you for listening, Joanne.
What a Show amiga!!! All you need is Anna Show!!! Gracias!!!
Thank you so much, Norberto!
Love the opener - and the way Geoff does it - I have been on an Imagine kick lately.
Yes, I've noticed, Joanne.
