Anna, you had such a beautiful idea. Quite touching to listen to all the songs dedicated to those so close to them that left. Yes, there are many others but it would be really impossible to include them all in a single show. I do believe all of them, somehow, were homoured, because you made us to remember them. Congratulation. It was really touching.
i never heard the david bowie version of penny lane loved it. another great show anna . thank you for remembering those that were close to the beatles and remembering beatle wives
Anna, this singer singing Penny Lane is not David Bowie. It is Tony Steven! He recorded it for an album of covers in 1867. He also recorded a Monkees song, A little bit me, a little bit you. Bowie really sounds like Stevens some times. I wish it was Bowie...But it was not.
So many important people (and Martha of course) connected to the Beatles are gone now, including George & John. I know "All Things Must Pass" but every loss is sad none the less. Thanks very much for the remembrances Anna :)
wonderful show, wish I could join you on chat again, david bowie did do a live version of penny lane about 9/11!
and OSCAR my old English sheepdog is still with me, as are SAMMY; WOLFIE; AND PEEP_O
Nice to know about your dogs, Jojo.

Thank you very much, Marytheresa.
Sure maybe I got it wrong. But I think it is correct. Anyway, I am enjoying the show a lot.
I corrected it during the show, Virginia. I must be more careful in future. Thanks for listening.
