Rachel Michele Teana Reeves is a freelance journalist and writer whose work has appeared in such publications as Pacific Standard Magazine, Honolulu Civil Beat, and The Diplomat. Her first book, Mātini: The Story of Cyclone Martin, was published in 2015. She co-founded a publishing project called Lokal Magazine, which celebrates indigenous wisdom in the Cook Islands and was supported by grants from the UN’s Global Environment Facility, UNESCO, and the Cook Islands government.
