A SENSIBLE GRAVITY (VOLUME FOUR)

A SENSIBLE GRAVITY (VOLUME FOUR)

Playing tracks by

Derek Bourgeois, J LASRY, George Crumb, Demetrio Stratos , Alvin Lucier and more.

Some months back Steven Stapleton introduced me to the music on the 'Nova Musicha' label. I fell in love with the chaos that lies within those 18 albums. Here is a medley of tracks from some of those records.
Also included is a song from a TV episode called 'Buddyboy' which aired on British TV (ITV) on 30th October 1976. The 'drama' featured Martin Shaw who buys a disused aquarium haunted by the spirit of a dolphin. To me this sounded like it could have the potential to be an amazing televisual masterpiece but trust me it is terrible, and not even in a 'good way'. But the opening theme is GREAT, it's only saving grace. Also in this mix of music is a song by J.Lasry. He used the instruments created by the Baschet brothers. The Baschet Brothers are two French brothers named François Baschet (born 30 March 1920, in Paris) and Bernard Baschet (born 24 August 1917, Paris) who collaborate on creating sound sculptures and inventing musical instruments, such as the Cristal Baschet.
