We follow last weeks greatness with more of the same in the form of a travelogue/mixtape from ulrich troyer.
Troyer hails from innsbruck, austria though now resides in vienna where for the last ten years he has been earning his spurs as a freelance artist and musician on projects including film soundtracks, sound installations, dance productions and also as a live performer in the vegetable orchestra.
What brings him to our attention is his fantastic new album for deep medi musik, 'songs for william'. one of the release of the year, it takes his long time love of the dub sounds and experimentations of the likes of king tubby and rhythm and sound as a starting off point and spins of it creatively using analogue synthesizers, effects, stompboxes, samplers, guitars, percussion and melodica to bring us a thoroughly modern take on the classic dub sounds.
