WFIL Philadelphia PA - Jim O’Brien & Tom Dooley - 1971/1972 AM560

Started in 1922, WFIL is one of USA’s oldest radio stations. Although today WFIL has a Christian/religious format, back in the 1960s and 1970s it was a "Boss 30" music station, famous for Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand”. Early in 1972 WFIL sent CIB this studio quality aircheck featuring DJs Jim O’Brien and Tom Dooley plus some playlist information:

Nice. I remember well WFIL. I think it was a WFIL telethon around 1973 when I met John Lennon at WFIL studios on City Line ave. Also, Flip Wilson, Larry Kane,Jay Johnstone (Phillies). There was a contest( guess how many Bananas were in Banana Joe's Car, ( a yellow mustang). Thanks for the great memories.
